Ontology is eight years old, and we are marking the milestone with our staking community. The Guess the Winner campaign rewards your football insight: verify your data in the ONTO Wallet app, pick the team you think will lift the trophy, and join the reward pool that matches your tier.
This is a prediction and community insight campaign, not betting. You submit a winner prediction, and rewards follow the published rules once the final result is confirmed.

How it works
Verify your ONT staking data in ONTO Wallet. Based on your verified contribution level, you are placed into one of three tiers, each with its own reward pool. The more you stake, the higher tier you can get in! Choose your predicted winner from the remaining teams. When the final result is confirmed, community members whose prediction matches the winner share the reward pool for their tier.
Important: your tier is set by your verified active staked amount when the consensus round closes. If you want to increase your stake to reach a higher tier, do it before the current consensus round ends. A top-up made mid-round only takes effect from the next round, so it will not count if you leave it too late. Check the current round at node.ont.io before you stake.
The three tiers
Your verified staking contribution decides which pool you join, and the bigger your verified stake when the consensus round closes, the higher your tier. The top 10% of verified staking users go into the Champions Pool and share $1,500 in ONG. The next band, ranked just below the top 10% down to 40%, from the Pro Pool and share $700. Everyone else, the remaining 60%, joins the Supporters Pool and shares $300. Match the winner and you split the pool for your tier with the other correct predictions. Want to climb a tier? Key dates
Here is how the campaign runs from kickoff to rewards. It opens in-app on 28 June, when you can verify your data and submit your prediction. Voting stays open until 14 July, giving you just over two weeks to complete verification and lock in your pick. Predictions close on 14 July, and once the final result is confirmed on 20 July – The World Cup Final, rewards are distributed to everyone whose prediction matched the winner.
How to take part
1. Open the campaign page in the ONTO Wallet app.
2. Connect or confirm your wallet.
3. Verify your staking data. ONTO places you into your tier. Increasing your stake only counts if done before the current consensus round closes (check node.ont.io).
4. Choose your predicted World Cup winner from the teams and submit before July 14.
5. When the final result is confirmed on July 20, matching predictions share the reward pool for their tier. Rewards will be distributed within 5 working days.
